Officials of the state government will be out in the urban areas for the drive. Led by chief minister Narendra Modi, all the cabinet ministers, parliamentary secretaries, assembly speaker and MLAs,.

MPs, chairmen of various boards and corporations and IAS, IPS and IFS officers will be visiting various areas of the state and enroll children completing six years of age in class I at primary schools. They will address the people and academia on the need for social awareness in the field of education.

The first phase of Kanya Kelavani and Shala Praveshotsav drives had been organised in rural areas from June 14-16. The drive in rural areas got unprecedented response with the enrolment of 4,79,808 children in primary classes and 4,80,169 children in class VIII. As many as 3,06,444 children were enrolled in anganwadis and kindergarten. A total of Rs10.54 crore was donated by people in cash and kind.
